Who am I? How do I want to be? Can you easily reinvent yourself by simply claiming that you are someone else? What if a pig mooed or a cow? Then is it a pig or a cow?

I AM NOT YOU is playful, absurdly funny and powerful dance theater on the subject of identity for children from 7 years. In this piece Antje Pfundtner and the Moks Ensemble have very musically and associatively approached questions and discoveries about their own self and its relationship to the environment. On this performative research trip movement and behaviour patterns are called into question and the scenes flow into one another as a game with expectations, in which the 4 performers perform surprising transformations and create new game situations.

Choreographer ANTJE PFUNDTNER was trained as a dancer at the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, she has worked with Michèle Anne de Mey, Tony Vezich, David Hernandez and others. Various scholarships – including the danceWEB stipend – led her to New York and Vienna. Since 2001 Pfundtner has been living and working as a choreographer in Hamburg. With her company Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft (APiG), she has developed a variety of formats presented around the world. She has received numerous awards, including the George Tabori Prize in 2016.
